NATURAL HISTORY 1 BADGE

The activities for this Natural History 1 badge are designed to form a foundation on which to build, rekindle or develop an interest in the natural world whilst affirming our part in it. I have chosen four topics for this badge – Evolution, Classification, Habitats and Food Chains.

Introducing your badge

In addition to full instructions and a log for tracking progress, each topic has its own introduction and there is a brief explanation of what the supporting activities have been designed to accomplish.

I have developed the activities using games that the people in your Unit/Group will be familiar with, such as memory card games and bingo. I have also suggested activity levels for all levels of Girlguiding and Scouting to complete in order to achieve the badge.

I will be very grateful if you chose to do the Natural History 1 badge. Any money I make from it helps me to continue developing and delivering natural history educational activities to schools and the wider community.
