I offer a number of Natural History activities, for all levels of Girlguiding and Scouts, which can be delivered at the venue where your unit/group meets or at a convenient outdoor setting. Some of these activities support the criteria for existing badges and awards. In addition, I have launched the first of a series of Natural History badges covering Evolution, Classification, Habitats and Food Chains. A second badge will be launched in 2025.
NATURAL HISTORY 1 BADGE
Developed with help from Beaver and Brownie leaders, the first badge in this series covers evolution, classification, habitats and food chains. All of the activities for completing the badge are provided electronically with full instructions for their delivery. There is also a log for monitoring progress towards achieving the badge.
For Units/Groups in Norfolk and parts of Suffolk, I can deliver activities at your hall/hut. I have a range available from indoor talks to outdoor nature pursuits such as bird watching, bug hunting and pond dipping.
“Allan visited Mulbarton Beavers with bug hunting and pond dipping equipment. The Beavers loved him and were very excited by the pond life they discovered.”

“My Beaver colony has run 2 sessions on the wildlife badge and they are loving it. It’s different to normal badges which makes it cool too 🙂 hoping to place an order in a few weeks for them to have the physical badge. They were playing the higher and lower game in that picture, hence some bits were on the floor.” [Picture 4 in banner with thanks to Kevin]
