Wildlife Talks
Need a speaker? I have put together the following thought-provoking, informative and sometimes humorous talks. They are suitable for all ages and levels of wildlife knowledge and last anywhere between an hour and 2 days! Just kidding – 45 to 60 minutes depending on requirements.
A fish that never died out!![]() The fascinating story of the Coelacanth. Thought to have been extinct for over 60-million years until one was discovered off the coast of Africa in 1938. The talk covers the fish’s history to that point, its rediscovery and what happened next. £60.00 + expenses |
Kruger’s Big-5 +![]() For many, the quality of an African safari is measured by how many of the Big-5 – African Lion, Leopard, Rhino, African Elephant and Cape Buffalo – they see. In this talk, I will introduce you to these and their equally exciting supporting cast. £60.00 + expenses |
A world of Cranes![]() Other than South America and Antarctica, these striking birds are found on every continent. Of the 15 species, 11 are facing the threat of extinction. Find out about the plight of each species and some of the efforts being made to conserve them. £60.00 + expenses |
Moths – an introduction![]() Most people think moths are dull, brown things which come out at night and eat your cloths. The reality could not be further from this. In this talk, I will introduce you to a fascinating group, dispel some myths and advise you how you can get to know them better. £60.00 + expenses |
Feedback
Zoom talk – talk: Moths; July 2020
“Thank you so much for an excellent talk – engaging and informative. Several members have been in touch to say how much they enjoyed it, and are now seeing moths in a new light. Thanks for adapting to fit in with our need for an online talk that was relatively brief, it was perfect.”
